After six days of careful construction, the Green Tara mandala will be ceremonially dismantled. The monks will perform prayers and ritual offerings, then sweep the sands from the outer edges inward — deliberately returning to formlessness what took such effort to create. The sands will be gathered and released into flowing water, carrying the merit of the practice outward in all directions. This final act is the teaching the entire week has been building toward: that what arises also ceases, and that beauty, carefully made and freely released, is itself a form of generosity.
