 Why be a volunteer of The Buddhist Center?

‌The Buddhist Center would not exist without our amazing volunteers, who offer their time and talents to benefit others. In addition to creating tons of merit and belonging to a team of kind, warm-hearted, like-minded people, as a core team volunteer* of The Buddhist Center, you get to enjoy the following benefits:

• • ‌Access to all center programs and all other membership benefits. You are still welcome to contribute financially as we also have financial needs to be met.
  • Ample training and development opportunities, including skills training and leadership development
  • Exclusive volunteer-only events
  • Pujas offered for the health and wellbeing of our members, volunteers, and benefactors
    LOTS of fun!!!‌

You are considered a core team volunteer, if you offer service to The Buddhist Center for a minimum of 1 -2 hours per week on average, and you were assigned one of our Core Team Positions.

Why be a Zoom Host at The Buddhist Center?

Zoom Hosting is more than being a face online. It’s an opportunity to assist the teachers, and create a warm, inclusive environment for our global online community.

• • You can volunteer from anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet access
  • You receive all volunteer benefits as long as you host for an average of at least 1 hour per week
  • You choose the events you wish to host
  • You will receive ample training and support from our amazing Zoom Host team
  • You will likely join more teachings and practices than you would otherwise
