In order to achieve realizations of the teachings we study and meditate on, we need to prime our minds by purifying our deeply ingrained deluded tendencies, which are the obstacles to the realizations, and by nourishing our virtues.
And in order to become buddhas ourselves, we need to open our hearts by developing close relationships with the enlightened beings and thus receive their blessings.
We achieve these by participating in pujas, mostly Vajrayana, formal ceremonies of prayers, offerings and requests to the various buddhas.
From time to time we also familiarize ourselves with the words of Shakyamuni Buddha by reciting the sutras.

C1 | Guru Puja and Tsog
A tsog offering, typically held on the tenth and twenty-fifth of the Tibetan lunar calendar, is done in conjunction with the practice of Guru Puja, in Tibetan, Lama Chopa (or the buddha Vajrasattva). It is a series of offerings and requests to the spiritual teacher in the form of Lama Losang Thubwang Dorje Chang.

The practice of Medicine Buddha not only helps the sick and the dying, but also helps remove obstacles in our lives.

C3 | Tara Puja
Once a month, on the eighth of the Tibetan month, we perform The Four Mandala Offerings to Cittamani Tara. She is known as the liberator from the fears of samsara and is an embodiment of enlightened action, one of the three essential qualities of a buddha (the others being wisdom and compassion).

C4 | Vajrasattva Tsog
This short practice, composed by the co-founder of the FPMT, Lama Thubten Yeshe, consists of a series of requesting verses combined with the recitation of the hundred-syllable mantra of Vajrasattva.

C5 | Protector Pujas
At least once a month we make offerings and requests to wrathful buddhas such as Palden Lhamo.
C6 | Sutra Recitations
From time to time we recite various sutras, such as Golden Light Sutra, Sanghata Sutra, Vajra Cutter Sutra, and Sutra Remembering the Three Jewels.
