Geshe Thubten Sherab Returns to Teach In-Person June 4

Dear Friends,

We’re delighted to share that Geshe Sherab will resume in-person teachings on Sunday June 4, which is also Saka Dawa Duchen, one of the four great holy days in the Tibetan Buddhist calendar. Saka Dawa Duchen commemorates the Shakyamuni’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana.

On this day Geshe-la will offer the Eight Mahayana Precepts from 6-7 AM on Zoom only and then teach on Lama Atisha’s Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment from 10:00 to 11:30 AM in person at the center.

We will end the day with Geshe la leading us in a Shakyamuni Buddha meditation in-person at the center from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

Geshe la’s teachings will continue on Wednesday nights beginning June 7 from 7:00 – 8:30, where he will start by teaching a series of classes on Nagarjuna’s “Commentary on Bodhichitta”.

Please join us on Saka Dawa Duchen to welcome back our beloved resident teacher!
