Tara Puja with Miffi Maxmillion & Langri Tanpa Buddhist Centre, Brisbane, Australia
Arya Tara is the manifestation of all the buddhas’ enlightened activity, and this ceremony is particularly helpful in removing obstacles, receiving help in emergencies, resolving conflicts and energising spiritual practice. In the aspect of Cittamani Tara, she benefits quickly the mind of those who pray to her. Tara is the guardian from all fears and anxieties. She arrives, ready to put to right the most terrible of situations. Everyone will benefit from this practice, whether they are religious or not.
We chant praises to the 21 Taras, make long mandala offerings, strew flowers and present offerings with the traditional hand gestures (mudras). This offering ceremony is chanted in both English and Tibetan. It is rich in symbolism.
There will be an opportunity to make personal dedications for the well-being of friends and family, for the sick and vulnerable, for healing the planet and for the halt of the coronavirus. We also dedicate for our holy gurus, success in our studies, and for all our Dharma aspirations.
Remember to have your mandala set ready (if you have one), and your ritual implements including inner offering. You can also set up an offering of food on your altar or in your own home.
