We practice mindfulness in order to familiarize our mind with the nature of reality. At the moment we
believe that things, including the self, is more permanent and independent than it exists in actuality. By
being mindful of for instance the impermanent nature of the body we can experience how the body
exists in actuality.
In these two evenings you will learn the basic techniques of developing mindfulness, whereby we focus
our mind on the body, our feelings, the mind, and phenomena. While the mind is focused on these
objects, investigate the nature of these objects in order to connect with the reality of them.
These classes are a follow up from the Developing Mindfulness and Cam Abiding classes in September,
however, you can also participate when you are new to mindfulness practice.
