BP: The Tathagata Essence (Zoom Only Tonight)

Dates: Weekly on Thursdays from June 8 to December 7, Class will not be held September 7 and 14 or on November 23

One of the major texts studied in all traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, Maitreya’s Sublime Continuum of the Mahayana, clarifies the meaning of our natural potential for buddhahood, the tathagata essence, specifically the emptiness of the mind, which is why we can achieve buddahood.

The first chapter of this work, which explains four related “vajra” subjects – Buddha, Dharma, Sangha and tathagata essence – is the focus of this teaching.

Since FPMT Basic Program study is not just for academic purposes but to ultimately increase our altruistic and kind attitude, it is important and expected that all BP students follow certain conduct guidelines as given in the document available here

In order to receive the materials for the course students must enroll as a listener or a or full time student. Please complete the form below to register and the materials will be provided.

If you don’t receive an email within half an hour please check your spam folder and then contact Ven. Dondrub at spc@tnlsf.org if necessary.
