Our beloved resident teacher, Geshe Thubten Sherab, has arrived safely in Nepal after months of traveling and teaching. He shared a letter with our community, along with some images of Kathmandu, taken from Kopan Monastery.

Dear dharma friends of TNL,

I hope and pray you are in good health and continue to study, practice, and grow in your dharma practice. Many, many greetings from Kopan Monastery in Nepal.

I wanted to let you know that after months on the road, traveling and teaching, I arrived here in Nepal safe and well yesterday. It was a long tour, and I am feeling a little tired, but I will be here in Nepal for three months, and then two weeks in India.

Keeping Nepal in Our Prayers

As you all know, there was a terrible tragedy — flooding in an area of Nepal bordering Tibet, with great loss of life and infrastructure. I know people from all over the world are supporting in whatever way they can, and people here deeply appreciate it. Please continue to keep this in your prayers and practice.

Except for that particular area, the rest of Nepal is fine and doing well. The weather is cool and pleasant at the moment. Please take care of yourselves, and I look forward to seeing you in April.

Big love and prayers,
Geshe Sherab

Note from TNL: If you would like to make a donation to support relief efforts for those affected by the recent flooding in Nepal, you may contribute to the FPMT Emergency Relief Fund, which provides immediate, practical support to families and communities devastated by this tragedy.
